Using pyridine as raw material, water as solvent, in the presence of catalyst, using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant, the synthesis of pyridine nitrogen oxide; Then the pyridine nitrogen oxide and organic solvent mix, and then add surfactants, curing agents and alkali reagents, reflux water separation, after the reaction system water separation, temperature rise pressure reaction, synthesis of pyridine thione sodium
Physical and chemical properties
The pure product of sodium pyrithione is a white or off-white powder, easily soluble in organic solvents such as water and ethanol. It is generally configured as a 40% solution, which is light yellow to yellowish brown transparent liquid, easily soluble in water. When used under acidic conditions, the persistent effect decreases, and it is stable under alkaline or neutral conditions.
Fungicide
Sodium pyrithione belongs to pyridine derivatives fungicides, the appearance is yellow and light brown transparent liquid, the melting point is 250 ℃, and it has a slight characteristic smell. Soluble in organic solvents such as water and ethanol. Unstable to light, oxidizing agents, and strong reducing agents. Non-ionic surfactants will slightly inactivate it, and it can chelate with heavy metals. The main application areas include: daily chemical products, adhesives, papermaking, medicine, pesticides, leather products, disinfection supplies, etc.
Application field
SPT is mainly used for anti-mildew and anti-bacteria products in daily chemicals (shampoo and hair care products), architectural coatings, adhesives, sealants, pesticides, textiles, leather products, and metal processing fluids. It can also prepare products such as disinfectants, detergents and medical broad-spectrum antifungal dermatology drugs. At the same time, it is an effective fungicide for fruit trees, peanuts, wheat, vegetables and other crops and an excellent disinfectant for silkworms. SPT and its similar products are widely used in related fields due to their superior performance of high efficiency, broad spectrum, and low toxicity.
